Apollo Tyres Ltd’s board has approved unaudited consolidated results for the second quarter and first half of fiscal 2026-27, reporting double-digit revenue growth and a change at the top of its finance function.

For the quarter ended September 30, 2026, revenue from operations rose 17% to Rs 7,968 crores from Rs 6,831 crores in the same period a year earlier. Operating profit was Rs 855 crores. Net profit increased 13% to Rs 292 crores from Rs 258 crores. The company said the quarterly net profit included an estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores, disclosed as an exceptional item.

First-half performance

For the six months from April to September, consolidated revenue from operations increased 15% to Rs 15,366 crores from Rs 13,392 crores. Operating profit was Rs 1,723 crores. Net profit rose to Rs 641 crores from Rs 271 crores in the same period last fiscal. The half-year figure also included the estimated pre-tax restructuring cost of Rs 26 crores.

India growth and cost pressure

Apollo said its Indian operations carried strong revenue growth momentum into the second quarter, reflecting the effectiveness of its growth initiatives. Chairman Onkar Kanwar attributed growth across categories in India to sustained rural expansion efforts and the company’s strategic association with cricket.

Kanwar also said new product launches in India’s commercial vehicle segment had strengthened performance during the past quarter. At the same time, he identified geopolitical tensions in West Asia as a continuing headwind, citing elevated input costs and supply chain disruptions.

CFO appointment

The board approved the appointment of Ravi Kumar Shingari as chief financial officer, effective November 4, 2026. Shingari joined Apollo Tyres in 2018 as group head, finance, and has held responsibilities across budgeting, accounts and investor relations. More recently, he was given additional responsibility for legal.

Before joining Apollo Tyres, Shingari spent more than 16 years at KPMG, where his last assignment was partner, tax and regulatory. He is a chartered accountant with a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. In his new role, he will report directly to Neeraj Kanwar, vice chairman and managing director.

The results compare the September quarter and first half with the same periods of the previous fiscal year. Apollo reported operating profit of Rs 855 crores for the quarter and Rs 1,723 crores for the half year, alongside the revenue and net profit figures. The restructuring cost was disclosed as an exceptional item in both periods.
